Avian Flu

Captain Dave believes that Avian Influenza, also known as Bird Flu, and specifically H5N1, is a serious long-term threat. After spreading through Asia, it is today ,aking its way into Europe and Africa. When the flu evolves to the point that it can easily transfer from human-to-human, experts expect that we will have only two weeks before outbreaks of the human disease appear in the U.S . Prepare now, before it is too late.

As Bird Flu spreads to Africa, some wonder how it will mix with HIV

According to this report from Reuters, scientist are not sure if the 26 million people with HIV in Africa will be killed by Avian Influenza or be turned into "supercarriers" that spread the virus.
